Effective: March 1, 2025 — Last Updated: March 1, 2025
This Privacy Policy describes how TRUEX ("we", "us", "our") collects, uses, and shares information about you when you use our platform at truex.bet.
TRUEX is a sports bet tracking and performance analytics platform operated from Los Angeles, California. We are not a gambling operator, sportsbook, or betting service. We do not accept wagers or process gambling transactions. We provide software tools that allow users to log and track their own betting activity for personal analytics purposes.
Information you provide directly: Account information includes your email address, display name, handle (username), and optional bio. Bet data includes league, market type, event description, selection, odds, stake size, result, notes, and timestamps you enter manually. Profile preferences include bankroll settings, privacy preferences, and subscription status.
Information collected automatically: Usage data includes pages visited, features used, session duration, and interaction patterns. Device and browser information includes browser type, operating system, IP address, and device identifiers. Log data includes server logs with timestamps, URLs accessed, and error reports.
Information we do not collect: We do not collect Social Security numbers, government IDs, financial account numbers, or payment card details; payments are processed by third-party payment processors who have their own privacy policies. We do not collect precise geolocation data. We do not collect biometric data.
We use the information we collect to provide, operate, and improve the TRUEX platform; to calculate and display your performance analytics, including ROI, win rate, units won, and risk metrics; to generate your public profile and public performance page when you choose to make bets public; to process subscription payments through our payment processor; to send you transactional emails (account confirmation, password reset, subscription receipts); to detect and prevent fraud, abuse, and violations of our Terms of Service; to analyze aggregate usage patterns to improve platform features and performance; and to generate anonymized aggregate datasets for commercial purposes as described in Section 6.
Public information you choose to share: When you mark bets as public or maintain a public profile, that information is visible to anyone — including non-logged-in visitors and search engines. This includes your handle, display name, public bets, odds, stakes, results, and performance statistics. You control what is public through your privacy settings.
Service providers: We share information with third-party service providers who help us operate the platform, including Supabase (database and authentication), Vercel (hosting and infrastructure), and payment processors. These providers access information only as necessary to perform services on our behalf and are contractually prohibited from using it for other purposes.
Aggregate and anonymized data: We may share, license, or sell anonymized aggregate data derived from user activity. This data does not identify individual users and does not include your personal information or individual bet history. See Section 6 for full details.
Legal requirements: We may disclose information if required by law, court order, or government authority, or when we believe disclosure is necessary to protect our rights, your safety, or the safety of others.
Business transfers: In the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will notify you via email or prominent notice on the platform before your information is transferred and becomes subject to a different privacy policy.
We do not sell your personal information to third parties for their own marketing purposes.
If you are a California resident, you have the following rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA):
Right to Know: You may request that we disclose the categories and specific pieces of personal information we have collected about you, the sources of that information, the purposes for which we use it, and the categories of third parties with whom we share it.
Right to Delete: You may request that we delete personal information we have collected from you, subject to certain exceptions (for example, information we are required to retain for legal purposes).
Right to Correct: You may request that we correct inaccurate personal information we hold about you.
Right to Opt-Out of Sale or Sharing: You may opt out of the sale or sharing of your personal information. Note that we do not sell your personal information for third-party marketing purposes. We do share anonymized aggregate data as described in Section 6, which we believe does not constitute a "sale" under CCPA because it does not identify you individually. If you believe otherwise, you may submit an opt-out request.
Right to Limit Sensitive Personal Information: You may request that we limit our use of sensitive personal information to purposes necessary to provide the service.
Right to Non-Discrimination: We will not discriminate against you for exercising any of your CCPA rights. We will not deny you service, charge different prices, or provide a different quality of service because you exercised your privacy rights.
How to exercise your rights: Submit requests to privacy@truex.bet. We will respond within 45 days. We may need to verify your identity before processing your request. We will not charge a fee for reasonable requests.
TRUEX collects, analyzes, and may commercialize anonymized aggregate data derived from platform activity. This is a disclosed commercial practice that you acknowledge and agree to by using TRUEX.
What aggregate data includes: Total bets logged across the platform by sport, market type, and odds range; aggregate win rates and ROI distributions across user cohorts; stake sizing patterns and bankroll management trends across the user base; aggregate betting behavior by time period, league, and bet type; and statistical patterns derived from the collective dataset.
What aggregate data does not include: Your name, email, handle, or any identifier; your individual bet history or results; or any information that could reasonably identify you as an individual.
Who we may share aggregate data with: Sports data companies, media organizations, academic researchers, gaming operators, and other commercial partners. We will only share aggregate data in anonymized form that cannot reasonably be used to identify individual users.
Your individual data remains yours. Private bets stay private. Public bets are public only because you chose to make them public. Aggregate data is a separate commercial asset derived from the collective dataset and does not expose your individual information.
We retain your personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide services. If you delete your account, we will delete or anonymize your personal information within 30 days, except where retention is required by law or legitimate business purposes (such as maintaining records of transactions).
Aggregate and anonymized data derived from your activity may be retained indefinitely as it does not constitute personal information.
We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your information, including encryption in transit (TLS), encrypted storage, access controls, and regular security reviews. Our infrastructure partners (Supabase, Vercel) maintain SOC 2 compliance and industry-standard security practices.
No system is completely secure. We cannot guarantee the absolute security of your information. In the event of a data breach that affects your personal information, we will notify you as required by applicable law.
TRUEX is not directed to individuals under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from minors. If we become aware that we have collected personal information from a user under 18, we will delete that information promptly. If you believe we have inadvertently collected information from a minor, contact us at privacy@truex.bet.
The platform may contain links to third-party websites or services. This Privacy Policy does not apply to those third parties. We encourage you to review the privacy policies of any third-party services you use.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by email or by posting a prominent notice on the platform. The "Last Updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision. Your continued use of TRUEX after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
